Read this thinking like a parent, even if you aren’t one, with an open mind…
CPS is in place to protect little children who cannot protect themselves.
As a parent, wouldn’t you freak out if you heard CPS (Child Protective Services) was called about you neglecting your child?
Whether I feel that I was neglectful or not … I would quickly self-assess and figure out what I might be doing wrong! After all, my children are so important and I am their lifeline to life.
Neglecting children is a horrible issue, and not to be considered lightly. Now let me draw an analogy that I hope will make some sense.
BPS is coming! “Business Protective Services” may be called on you for neglecting your business. You are the lifeline to the life of your business, and it will die under your care if you neglect it. Your business is like an infant, needing nurturing and care until it’s mature enough to grow on its own. You were blessed enough to be able to bring this little business bundle of joy home with you when many people wish they could have one… so it’s your duty to take very good care of it.
Have you said, “I don’t have time” with regards to focusing some effort on your business?
Everyone who starts a network marketing business does so for good reasons. We call it your “WHY” and it’s the motivation behind your decision to start a business. It’s supposed to be the motivation for you to build the business day after day. People with legit WHY’s that truly move them to action see their business rocket to success. But others who are just not motivated by any WHY seem to leave their business on the couch playing alone with no parental presence whatsoever.
So … you have no time for building your business, you say?
Yes you do! You have the same 24 hours I do!
What you’re doing with your time is different.
I was working 60+ hours a week selling real estate, and had no time for anything. But I made time. Because I knew I had to.
If you interview 100 top earners in the network marketing industry, 99 of them will tell you they were living chaotic lives, likely even busier than you, and went on to build themselves a fortune and now living a life of utter time freedom. How is that?? How did they do it? Well, some people say, “I can’t spend time on the business because I have three kids.” But successful people say, “I HAVE TO do the business because I have three kids.” Some see excuses why they can’t, while some see reasons why they must. It’s a mental thing. When there’s a will there a way. Excuses will do nothing but make you think you are justified for not doing what you know you NEED to, and will hold you back from real success.
So let’s stick with this thought … you say, “I’m too busy.” Wow, you are busy busy busy. Ok, I get it. But busy doing what?
On average those who are billionaires don’t work harder than millionaires. On average those who are millionaires don’t work more than 6 figure earners.
It isn’t just how hard you work that makes you successful.
It is how effective you are with that time.
It is about leveraging your time. It’s about working on the right projects that can yield the outcome you actually want.
If success were based on work ethic, many janitors would be millionaires.
And stay at home moms would be earning 7 Figures for that valuable work they do.
Success takes MASSIVE discipline usually in something with LEVERAGE.
A mentor (billionaire) taught me to always ask myself this,
“Is what I am doing right now making me the most amount of money? Is it building an asset that will continually pay me while I sleep, or is it stealing my time that I can never get back with no promise of future payoff?”
Don’t confuse being BUSY with working smart. And don’t confuse trading your time for immediate money with building wealth.
Don’t think just short term.
Rich people think long term, whereas poor people think short term. I am not just talking about money. That principle applies in all aspects of life.
Work harder with ALL OUT MASSIVE ACTION, but work smarter.
Wouldn’t it be great if you had assets that worked as hard for you as you do?
Let’s hit the reset button. Is there anything in your life you’d like to change?
Do you think your life will change if you keep doing what you’re doing?
So you agree you need to find something you can do that’s not the norm, maybe outside the box?
I imagine you get it … that you absolutely have to stop thinking a JOB is going to be the path to your dreams, and that you must build your side business with real attention.
And as you build, don’t expect to do what you haven’t earned yet. You want to go to special events, take trips, go to movie nights or ball games during the week. You do this before you’ve made it and you’ll always stay broke. Do it after you’ve built it and you can keep doing it forever. Delayed gratification is a common trait in almost 100% of millionaires and billionaires. They lived the ramen noodle diet and rarely saw the light of day while they were building. But now they have it all, and everyone talks about how “lucky” they are!
Your dreams are tired of competing with your distractions, and listening to your excuses. It’s time to step up and build your empire. You agree?
