The Dream is Real

We all need to be reminded often that all the work required to win big and achieve our dreams is going to be worth it.

People told me early on that I was wasting my time with that “MLM scheme”…

They said I was working too hard…

They said life is too short and money is not that important…

So here’s my perspective.

Life is short when you look back on it.  But that does not excuse the need to give it all you’ve got to achieve goals and to build a great life for you and your family.  If you live with the mindset that tomorrow may be your last day, then you won’t ever build anything.  If tomorrow truly was your last day on earth, would you work to make money or would you spend whatever you have to live it up and do things you love with people you love?  Of course you wouldn’t waste it working for more money!  But tomorrow is likely not your last day, and I believe we should work hard now while we are young and able, so that when we are getting nearer to the end, we don’t have to work any more and we can truly enjoy our golden years.

I believe in delayed gratification.  I believe in putting your heart and sweat into a meaningful project and building your empire.  I believe that people are not inherently lazy, but society has a way of pulling people towards the weaker mindset crowd who are gratifying themselves in the now.  Those who fight the urge and work hard now instead are the ones who are much happier later.

I busted my butt in my earlier days in my network marketing career.  I invested time away from other things to pay the price up front.  Paying in advance always gets you a discount.  Paying later always charges you interest.  But now… let me be proof for you… the dream is REAL.  I absolutely love my life.  We are spending every other week at the beach as a family, taking in all this precious time with our 3-month-old, Colton.  Our marriage is amazing.  Talan turns 11 years-old this coming week and he knows what life is supposed to be like, and he’s watched how we’ve made it happen so his life lessons are priceless.

Get focused, stay focused.  Stay urgent and stay consistent.  Say NO to distractions and keep your eyes on the prize.  Smile at the haters and thank them for caring about your well being.  And go to sleep knowing that your life is going to be what you dream about in a few short years.  That time will come very soon, and you’ll be in a better place, while the rest of the crowd will be right where they are (or even worse off).

Keep reading the right material.  Keep company around the right winners.  And be the leader you are destined to be.
